Ben you changed your cool sketch....Like Jaria, you guys had a nice sketch and it changed in the painting process. It happens a lot. There are master painters centuries ago, going nuts over it.... takes a lot of practice to maintain the coolness of a sketch in a painted piece.
A couple of things Ben:
1-That cherry blossom is creating a tangent with the image frame. And The pink is way to intense so that becomes your focus.
2-ALso there is no light hitting the building so .... it feels werid because all of the other assets are getting light.
3-The guy has no pink on him, yet the whole image is bathed in pink.
4-Lower part is way too blurred, cloth shoul dbe a different color... Design of body and weapon are really lacking this time around. The particles were applied to fats, they should be pink like the leaves and in the correct depth. Right it feels like a huge dump of black leaves were dropped on the guy.
Maybe it was time that got you this week. But yea, i would say this is more of a work in progress towards a color sketch. So not even a color sketch yet especially by your standards.
